Dry dirt brings out the silver.:clapping:

I along with the majority of the rest of you fellows have probably felt that wet soil will enhance the silver signals, but after our hunt on Sat I may have to rethink my thinking. Our club had our monthly hunt at yet another pounded to death park with only five of us showing up. It was going to be a warm day and the dry ground was going to be tough digging for sure. Lee and I grabbed our gear and I headed for the same spot where I found the gold ring the last time we were at this park. Right off the bat my first target was a wheatie and then my next four targets were also wheaties and I'm thinking it's going to be a great day. :clapping:. My sixth target was that sweet silver sound we all like to hear and I was rewarded with a nice silver quarter. Now I'm thinking this is going to be a really good day to start off like that.:) My next target was another wheatie and I'm shaking my head asking myself what the heck is going on? My SE cooled off for a little while, but I did get two mercs and eleven more wheaties just before we took our lunch break.:clapping: I gotta tell you fellows that going on nine years of detecting it was a first for me with that being I had more keepers in my pouch then I had clad before lunch. After lunch we headed to another part of the park, but the pickings were few and far between with only one merc for the rest of the day. Should have stayed where we were at, but gotta leave some for seed.......... : ) Lee got two rosies and I forgot what the dates were and eleven wheaties with his oldest being a 17 and a 19. My take was my 59 quarter, 19, 25 and 45 mercs, 17 wheaties dated 39, 40, 3-41's, 44, 45, 47, 49, 2-51's, 2-52's, 53, 54 and 2-56's. I also got two WA state tax tokens and a Seattle transit token as did Lee, two cheap rings and a God Bless America pin. I heard another fellow got a buff nickel and a 1906 V nickel, but not sure if he got any silver. It was a fun day as always and a lesson learned that there are good signals even in the dry dirt. Thanks for looking and GL & HH to all you fellows.

What a great start...not a bad finish either....You'll eventually get back to that part of the park I am sure!

Nice finds Eddie. I have'nt had a day like that since early summer ..

Outstanding hunt :beers: Nice wheat to silver ratio too.

Dave, Bruce, born2hunt, Big Boys Hobbies and Steve for your replies. Always nice to hear from you fellows and glad I had a post worth sharing. Me and my SE were in tune finally and even in the dry dirt for crying out loud.:clapping: GL & HH fellows.
