driving to Port Aransas this weekend!

I'm a new member, just signed in but I've been reading this forum the last few months and really enjoy the posts.I live by Owl Creek Park in the heart of Texas and plan to drive to Port Aransas friday morning for a weekend of water detecting.I'm bringing a minelab sovereign, a whites surfmaster PI, and two 6" sand scoops.I caught my boss in a good mood first thing this morning and asked for friday off. He said yes so if the weather holds and my truck makes it I'll have a great time! If I find anything I'll post it when I get back.
