After a muddy hunt last week I decided to ad a little covering and protection. I got a pack of McNett Camo Form gun wrap. I'm impressed with this stuff. It is not adhesive based, it only adheres to it's self. It forms a covering that gives a very easy to grip surface and gives not only scratch protection but a little cushion as well.
You can make any cuts with a pair of scissors and make narrow strips the same way.
When it gets dirty you just take it off, wash it and put it back on.
Comes in a bunch of patterns and some solid colors. Also put some red colored on all our digging tools handles. Much better grip and easier to see on the ground in the woods.
Cheapest source I've found is tapebrothers.com local for me but ship everywhere. Cheaper then Cabela's.
Oh, the other accessory is pretty good as well, but you can't buy one of those. I only know of one in existence.
