Probably a Washington Inaugural button or something ID'ed to Charles II (British king who granted permission for ships to sail to Carolinas) or similar.

My dream relic is just about the same as everbody else's, a CW Confederate buckle. However, just for this year I'd settle for a button, just about any kind of button. This Alabama ground eats up buttons. When I am finding anything its mostly bullets and rusty iron.
