The CTX 3030 Classroom forum is now the place to find downloadable Search Modes, Charts, Files, Update information, Manuals etc. This CTX 3030 forum will remain the site to share information, make posts of your finds, ask questions of other members, and continue a basic discussion of your experiences with the CTX 3030. But if you want to view or download information relative to your CTX 3030, or if you have a video you want to view or share, they can now be found on the Classroom.

Bill is welcome to load his Trashy Park program into the CTX 3030 Classroom. The more the merrier! I'm just not comfortable loading someone elses program, and sticking their name to it. Although I am sure it is an effective program for most coins, many of the "high trash" programs will reject CO ranges of 03-07 and 21 - 30. The targets that will be located within these ranges include half-dimes, silver and nickel 3-cent pieces, Flying Eagle cents and the earlier Indian cents. JMHO HH Randy

[size=medium]I think some people totally miss the whole idea of the trashy park pattern. It was designed to be used in places with a lot of trash like you would find in parks and other public places. Tons of pull tabs, aluminum foil, can slaw, etc. Of course you will miss some coins and probably a lot of the gold rings too but you will pick coins out of the trash without having to listen to the hundreds of trash signals. This pattern was not meant for the less trashy areas. I even use a more open pattern in those areas. Now with the combined mode you can run a more open screen and then assign a high tone to nickel and other coin areas and then just listen for a high tone in the middle of all the trash tones if that is how you want to operate.

Bill is exactly right on his reasoning and usuage of the "Trashy Park Pattern" my friend Doug and I have used virtually the same pattern on our E-Tracs for over two years, one difference we open up the nickle slot a bit more. Works great for the type of parks that are loaded with junk, also if you have a limited time to hunt you can use it at a less trashy park and quickly "cherry pick" but as stated you would pass up some potential good finds.
