Down we go into the depths,

What a deep seeker this is! I like running in pro, stock setting of like 35 and no notch. I turn on the iron audio with a few swings when I get a target. There are many masked targets out there that older machines could not punch through and separate.

Pinpoint depth is very accurate, one exception will be pop cans so turn down the sensitivity, scan for an outline or length of the can. Your first pin point scan should tell you the size if it is a can. If you narrow the pin point too soon by resetting the PP, you might fool yourself as you will peak on the strongest response. Don

I'm beginning to think that the way the AT Pro handles masking , that it might just be the best attribute that the machine has ....It does other things really well , but the way it's handling masking is pretty noteworthy !!....This is something that a LOT of machines can't do at all , never mind really well ....Jim

Yeah this will be the machine to take back to all those old sites we think are pounded out. Others are discovering new treasures in these sites.

great post Jim,and I too love the atpro. I have owned an e-trac,a v3 and have a 1500 and 2500. In all fairness I only used the e-trac and v3 for a couple of months.that's not enough time to really learn them.but the day I got the ATPro I knew I had something really special. I started finding wheat pennies very deep that i had missed with the other detectors.the plus is that it's so light and i don't dig pulltabs or slaw anymore.I can hunt twice as much as I could with the heavier detectors.add to that the ATPro does'nt seem to mind how fast you swing. I can't find any negatives about it at all.
