Hello to all from Australia,

I have been behind the scenes on your website for a while now and today decided to join you good people.
You have a great site here Bill - thanks.
Thanks also to all for all the great info I have picked up over the past year or so.

I guess I am still a novice... really only been swinging it for a year.
I run an Xterra 70, Gray Ghost Originals, Garrett Pro Pointer ( and a Garrett Ace 250 for fun - but dont tell anyone )
I live in South Australia and recently dug up a 1941 US Dime ...around 70% pure silver ???
Happy swinging

My favorite coin. Probably because that was my first silver I ever dug over 25 years ago. She's 90% silver.

Welcome to the forum Terra59 and congrats on finding the nice Merc.

A few years a go I found a 1942 Australian penny.

Welcome to the forum and nice find . I live in the US and have not found one yet.

Welcome to the forum. Nice find!

Glad you are here.
90% Silver

I love finding foreign coins like that over here, but to find one that is silver!:hot: Congrats.:clapping:
Living in South Oz, you can't go too far wrong swinging either the Ace or the X-Terra. While Adelaide is the home of Minelab, it is also the location of the Garrett importer.

Thanks to all for the welcome, you are a friendly lot.

Mick in Dubbo...hey mate - I was born in Narromine - ( just 30 miles from Dubbo )
Hey Mark ...both our coins are war years - maybe servicemen dropped them during WW2 or nearafter ??

I've had some great memories in Narromine. From finding my first pre-decimal coin at Kale oval to standing on the wing of Col Payes Spitfire and checking out the cockpit. I've also watched him fly the replica Wright Flyer which was built and based there. Sweet!
Mick Evans.

Awesome find! Those kind of finds is what keeps me happy tecting.
