Double silver on a rainy night...

It was a tough day at the shopping mall, most of the day, Gak! The kids start school in another week so it was school supplies and clothes on the agenda. Made it through the day and had about 15 minutes of daylight left to make it to the field, made sure I had my 15 LED miners lamp packed. Started to rain on the way to the field just a few minutes from the house. Oh well, it will be a wet hunt. This is the first night hunt I have done in a long time, was able to get in about 1.5 hours before I was soaked. Detected a fresh cut grass field close to an old farmhouse long gone and where I have found my oldest coins in this town. Here

Once again Mike you make us envious of your fantastic finds.
Those are really nice finds... Oh to be able just once too go hunting with you....Would be a dream come true.Keep up the great work and fantastic finds..keep us posted. "NICE"

I haven't done any night hunting. Oh, there have been occassions where I lost track of time and it got dark before I decided to quit for the day. But never a planned night hunt. But with those LED headlamps, there just might be one in my future! Thanks for sharing! HH Randy

looks like it is the same type as the 1722 and probably close to the same date. There is a small part of the coin I can make out and it looks like the same coin. They were found close together, within a few meters. I do a lot of night hunting in the winter months as when I get off work, it is dark, LOL, only choice I have. There was also a large target not far from the coins that had the XT70 going nuts, I might dig that up, headed out now! HH, Mike
