Double Largies from an 1810 House this Afternoon

I did some door knocking around 11 this morning and got permission to hunt a very old 1810 field stone house. The owner told me it had been hunted before, but I could try it if I wanted. I told him I would show them what I found if they'd like. They took off to run some errand and told me to help myself. The first target out of the gate was a 1909 Barber Dime. It was in heavy trash at the front of the house and I was getting very iffy signal. I had a hard time narrowing it down to where it was so when I cut the plug my shovel went right down the face of the coin since it was in the edge of hole. If it had been in nicer condition or an older coin, I would have been upset. I then proceeded to dig a wheat and then 2 Large Cents followed. Also dug an old bent up ring, which I gave to the wife. When the owner, wife and daughter returned home they came out to see the results. The wife told me I could come back any time I wanted. The husband said, "There you go!". I have a lot more area to cover so will save this for a time when I'm looking for somewhere to go. The targets are few and far between. Got 2 more wheats on my way back to the car.

Nice! Stinks about the dime, but like you said it wasn't in the best condition to start with.

Dang man! Killed it!

Not bad for being a "been detected before" yard. I think I'll go back!

Nice finds Duke - too bad that 1850 got shot-through - she's in great shape! Congrats on finding that new standby spot.

Yeah. I was commenting on how nice the detail was when I showed it to my wife.
