So av read and watched up on some videos on youtube if you get a good deep signal like we all av had many of times to then dig and dig only to find a large bit of iron plough I was told if u switch. The iron audio button on and av some of the iron sensitivity switched up and go over the same target it will now give off a low high low tone instead of the strong coin signal av not tried this yet but would be gr8 if it works save alot time with not digging big holes only to find large iron items at the bottom as any one give this ago? Im going to try on my next hunt

Works like a charm and can save you many futile digs, unless you're collecting scrap iron!

Deep Iron is a bugger and will fool most of todays detectors, but like Sailorman said turn

your Iron Audio On, it works very well, on the other hand Rich, you never know until you

dig it. Been some cracking finds from the County where you reside.

Good Luck and H H

Thanks guys al be sure to put it into good use:) like you say tho its always he best to chat still some times

I sometimes do two things if I suspect the target may be a large iron object. First, as has already been stated, turn on Iron audio. But also, if you raise your metal detector a foot or two off the ground and still get a signal, it has to be something large. There are umbrella mounts under the sand at the beach where I hunt that I can detect with my ATP coil about 3 feet in the air.

Yer that's a really good bit of advice mate as I do that for beer cans and every time av used that little trick raising the coil couple feet and its still giving off good tone its always a tin can al try the same on all good deep targets and hopefully avoid digging as much iron just hope I don't miss a hoard lol
