Doodly squat...

... is what I got. I would gladly take Bills "piddlings" after a morning like this

I visited the Airbase/jail after work for 50 minutes. Gleaned 6 SZ's/SL's and plenny tab-foil bitsies. Oh, and a big old iron washer. Eeehaha!

Hell, paddling a canoe with John in the arctic air would have been an improvement - and the food would've been infinitely better, too.

I DID get to use the backlight on the 1350, though, as the sky is only just quickening when I get off in the AM. That was kinda cool, fer sure, but then Im just a big kid with his toys...

Of course "doodly squat" is a good thing too. Now you know:

1) Finds are thinning out
2) Are they deeper? yes-Bigger coil/no smaller coil(trash) or.....
3) New site-research or shotgun approach-trial and error
4) Knowing a site is hunted out is good information to have. Keep it to yourself and let others keep busy there while you hunt different/better spots.:)

I wasn't complaining in a dejected way, just casual griping :stars:

I have been just shotgunning/sampling the site so far, just to see what I can turn up. I havent gridded the area totally, but where I have, the finds were widely scattered.

I havent found any real pockets, either, which leads me to believe that this site just may not have a lot to offer. What I have found seems to be one-off, and nothing is edgy-deep. Even the IH and early wheats were easily detected. My research hasnt turned up any details about this particular spot and the other areas adjacent are former demolition areas - so Im saving them.

Its okay, though. Ill continue to hunt it, more systematically, as it is totally convenient. But, I like the way you think. I found a sniper for the 1350 for $40 and will next go on the lookout for a the larger one for the 250.

....What are you doing hunting in my parks?

I have exclusive Doodlying & Squatting Rights to all of the unproductive parks. I demand you turn over all can slaw to me immediately; it's mine:crazy:

How bout we do this, Dick. You come on down and well hunt it together!
We also have amicro-brewery here that brews some of the nicest caramel malt you'll want.:beers:

...well, Bill seings as it was three zincers and three plain-jane memorials, well, I didnt see the point. Besides, I was tired - third shift, you know. Ill try to do better tomorrow.

The spots for older coins might be thinning, like my hair, but the parks, playgrounds, ball diamonds and such are always gettin replenished.:twodetecting:
