Coming back from a meeting in Findlay Ohio for a grant proposal; I stop in for donuts at Pat's in Lima. After getting my long awaited prize I left.On my way to getting back to I 75 ;I passed an elementary school. I couldnt resist the temptation. So I pulled out my trustworthy xlt and began to hunt the site.Just when I was about to leave having only found about a dollar in clad;I got a signal that flucuated between a dollar and a fifty cent piece. Not getting many signals in this range; I was excited; but figured it had to be junk or a modern Kennedy half. I have found quite a few of them. At first I didnt see anything in the plug I dug; The signal was still there though.I kept digging till I saw it. Thought at first It might be a Kennendy half or if I was really lucky a Franklin.Boy was I happy when I saw it was a Barber. My first ever. A 1902. pretty well worn ;especially on the back side . The date was plain enough to see though.
