Dont toss those flat washers just yet.....

I got permission to search the yard of an old abandoned farmhouse. Metal debris is strewn all over the property and the grass and weeds are difficult to negotiate.

Anyhow, I dug a good signal that turned out to be a flat washer....or so I thought until I got it home and looked closer.

The pic isnt of the token I dug, but its the exact same one.

I gave up on the house because it was intolorable to search. Now I'm thinking of giving it another shot.

that is nice,,,WTG

Very nice find.

Burnham Gum Machines are collectables in the arcade/vending machine collecting circles. Apparently they operated back in the 1920s.

WTG!

I did the same last year. After a hunt, I had emptied the trash section of the pouch on a table and was about to slide it into a trash can. About then, the wife (eagle eye) spotted a somewhat dirty washer, then her meat hooks grabbed it at a blink of an eye. While I was putting things away, she walked up and handed me the washer that she had cleaned some in the kitchen. If I did that - oh no, I'm not going there - anyway it was am open center token.

Now I give those washers a second look - wonder how many I may have thrown away in the past - may be none to a few or so, but..... don't know.

Tab..I LOLed at your kitchen joke.

Joke? It is a "Danger - Impact Area - Off Limits".
Tried washing my greasy hands in the kitchen once from turning wrenches in the garage. That was the last time - I have since plumbed in a nice utility sink in the garage. Hot & cold water, lot of hand goop, stack of lava soap, and a towel dispenser. Good lighting, and a padded carpet to stand on.

She can clean all the finds she want in the kitchen. I will not ever question it.
She keeps the coffee pot at the end of a counter, usually she get me my coffee, but if I must myself at times, I can now reach to the pot without actually walking into the kitchen. It's like that for a reason - her... There is just something about that kitchen - she acted like I destroyed it when I was just trying to wash my hands once.
