Don't Overlook Small Areas

Theres a school in my town that I tried maybe 25-30 years ago and did real lousy at the time there was nothing around not even junk, fed up with that I left and never came back. Well last week cause of lack of time I told the wife I was going to school, now its a very small play area so I wasn't expecting to find to much well how WRONG I ended up doing 7- 4hour trips netted 731 coins, Quarters were everywhere and this is an Elementary school, I never had that much money to loose in E-school.
116 Quarters
142 dimes
50 Nickels
26 Wheat Pennies
402 Mem. Pennies

And there still coming up, now the school was built in 1959, found 26 wheaties but no Silver coins and some of the coins were 7-8"'s down. I truly think no one has did this school because of the size of the grass area, Oh! only 12 pull tabs so far!!!!. Combining detectors F75 LTD 5" coil, Sen85, Disc 25, tone 4H, Fisher 1270, 5" coil, Disc 5, SEN 8, VOL 8

Nice pile of change

By chance I did a small area early this year and came out with eighteen 1800's coins and a Standing Liberty quarter. Now when I drive by that spot I think "who would have ever thought". Wish I could find more spots like that.

Looks to me like someone has hunted it in the past with an Etrac, and cherry picked all the silver:twodetecting:.......NGE

was you hunting with the i.d.edge? just curious!
thanks!

Was using the Edge. Was there previously, one time with a single tone detector and found only an axe head and shotgun shells. Later tried it with the Edge and was able to easily ID shotgun shells from IH pennies, shield nickles, and silver. Tones rule.

thanks! seems the "edge" appears to be a long lost "sleeper!" that people have forgotten about with the demise of
"los banos"!..just sayin'
