If theres someone out there thats familar with how to operate the Garrett Gold Scorpion can you please give me a bit of advice. So heres the situation. Today I decided to test how deep my Gold Scorpion can detect a gold nugget placed in the ground. So I place my gold nugget only 2 inches in the ground and the thing cant even pick it up. Whats up?? Why does it not pick it up. it will pick it up when its not in the ground but it will easily pick up a quarter placed 10 inches in the ground. Why wont it pick up the gold nugget? My settings were on all metal mode and It was perfectly ground balanced and I had it at maximum depth. It should pick up a gold nuggett thats in the ground 2 inches. I personaly think something is wrong with the thing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
