Don't get fooled with mega-pixel ratings......

With mega-pixel ratings for consumer cameras getting into the 5 mega-pixel range now it's easy to think a consumer will get the the same quality as the professional model SLR type digital cameras that cost thousands more. The CCD's in the professional model SLR type digitals are bigger and the pixels/diodes that capture the image are bigger and produce a higher quality image.
I am posting a link below to show you some images taken with the Nikon D1H professional SLR type digital rated at 2.74 mega-pixels. The D1H was made specifically for news and sports photographers. It has a huge buffer and and incredible burst rate for continous shooting of action.
I shoot with the Nikon D1X which is rated at 5.4 mega-pixels

Yea... the field of focus must be awfully good in the better cameras too... Any comments on what to look for there?
Thanks... Gary
