Don't forget to check the reef holes after a storm

I took my girls to the beach (mostly for me to scout the beach) to see what the sand conditions were like. After a quick look see, we went walking along the reef. Throughout the top of the reef are holes that look as though vana lived in them at one time or another. They range in sizes from about 2-3 inches wide as they are deep to maybe 1 foot wide and 1 foot deep and are filled with sand from the previous storm. As I was looking at the holes I thought, "gotta have something in these holes". So I got the girls to feel around in the holes (empty of Vana or other reef dwellers) and this is what we found.
