I hit a newer soccer field and it was kind of nice to be in an area without much trash. So used the Standard mode. You sure can tell those coin sounds and is it quiet!! WOW!!! First time I used Standard mode...
Here is my finds not much but 2 things. 1. Is this a BB pistol clip?? but it had glass bb's in it. Never saw one before. First is it a bb pistol clip? When did they start using, it looks like glass balls???
2. It looks like a belt buckle? Inside it look like it is stamped with PAT DEC 3 1879? Any one know what this is??? Sorry I just used a tooth brush and soap to clean it. Will try to get it cleaner in the next few days. Thanks for reading and Happy Trails....Z

Looks like a .22 cal clip. I continue to be amazed at how much of that kind of stuff is found on school grounds. I have not tried hunting in STD mode yet. I should give it a try just to see how it is. That buckle is awesome! Nice hunt.

Sounds like a nice little hunt. I love my AT Pro, so far. No great find yet, but I haven't had it long. That looks an airsoft pistol clip. My son has a few. They're like bb guns but they shoot 6mm, 0.012 gram or 0.020 gram plastic pellets. Unfortunately, unlike bb guns, the kids usually shoot at each other and not targets. Fortunately, most are smart enough to wear goggles (my kid MUST, or he loses his guns), long sleeve shirts and pants. If you get hit from up close, it'll leave a nice welt , at the least.

STD mode works. Alot different than Zero. It will find alot of coins. I usually cherry pick in std during the first hunt of a new place. Criss cross in zero. Med tones only. At pro hunt a few different ways.

Thanks guys! Kayaker I didn't know about the plastic bb's or that there was such a thing. All I know is when I was a kid I had my trusty Red Rider BB gun anytime I went into the woods for and adventure for the day. The iron part isn't cleaning up very good. I think it is some kind of machine part with a patent date on it.
I'll just hang on to it maybe one day I can trade it for something I will need???
I did not use Standard mode. The field was so clean of trash that I just put it into Standard zero mode 20 iron dis. and iron on. It was kind a nice hunt. I still am not watching the meter to see those mid tones because my nickel count is way down.
Thanks for reading and Happy Trails....Z

Found it in 2007 in Massachusetts.

Jason I think it is some kind of machine part with a patent date on it?? I don't know? When I first dug it I thought it was a buckle. Maybe someone will recognize it and tell us?? Thanks for post. Happy Trails...Z
