Dont always find coins...

...sometimes one gets other stuff. Went out for a couple of hours today , in the woods. Did not find a single coin but dug upsome old stuff anyhow. I have some kind of old gauge to a Ford vehicle . Im guessing an oil pressure gauge . its an old one. Also this 8 sided heinz bottle. It still had part of the cap on it thats what the detector hit on. Then this sunflower cup thing. I dont know what it is but its pretty. If I was being picky on what I dig I would have not got any of them.

I was running the Vaq sensitivity in the red , minimum disc , and threshold on the last O of the Tesoro emblem.

Nice finds hatpin...............Old "stuff" is always cool to find. Today I found an old Listerene toothpaste tube (empty of course) that my research shows is from the 30's. While it is always fun to find coins and such I get just as much enjoyment from finding old stuff like what you found.

Thanks for posting your setup. I have a bunch to learn on that unit, by reading what you did I learn.
Congrats on your finds.

The info on the jar. There's a HEINZ 143 on the base.

1920-1943 Used to contain sour onions , sour mixed pickles , and sour pickle sticks. Flint glass . machine made. Sealed by anchor friction metal closure.

What's great about coins is that they come with a date. How handy is that? Too bad all relics don't come with a date stamped on them. :bouncy:

Congrats on your finds.

That has pretty much become my default settings. The sensitivity would be around 11 or 12 if the numbers went that high. A lot of people like the threshold set louder. I keep it at the end of the tesoro emblem because at that setting the pinpoint button is still useful. The pinpoint /all metal button will give a different sound than disc. I use it on most targets just to get a little more info about the item.
