Then why don't you add something of substance. Do a field report, do some testing, how about doing a video. It's people like you who love to complain, yet have done nothing to help educate the cause.

So long CT... We will try to fill the void left behind when you leave... If your more interested in the technical aspect of things you would should visit the CTX Resource forum. I consider this forum more of a general conversation place to for example show the dime that I found.
I hope your not still mad about that April Fools joke of mine that you fell for. Are you?

not in ct in r.i.,,people ask the same thing over and over, why are threads like what number you getting still getting up there week after week

It's metal detecting. The subject matter is limited. Detectors, Equipment, Technique, Finds and places to hunt. We would welcome some new insight to the CTX. The forum is only as good as the members. Please feel free to contribute.

Don't Let The Door Hit Ya, You need too proof read N spell check before you send something@#$&$%@#

Well......... OK, bye. Why the dramatic exit? Talk about 10 year old antics

Because "week after week" people are buying CTX's and have questions.....Some don't like to search, some don't like to read manuals, and some just don't understand what they are reading.....It's a forum, and that's the way forums work. I like the questions, and here is why... If someone asks a question, that I don't know the answer to, I can research it, find the answer, or wait for someone more knowledgeable than me to answer it...Either way, I just learned something, and I figure that is a good thing.

I strongly agree Goodmore. Until we start getting some software updates from Minelab for the CTX we don't have a whole lot of new ground to cover. In the meantime it's nice to chat back and forth and compliment each others finds and welcome new additions to the forum. What I do find though is that even rehashing what some of us seasoned CTX's may consider elementary, occasionally there is a tidbit of information that presents a new way of looking at things and so I learn something.

What a stupid thing to post. If you dislike it here, just don't view the forum. That's how adults deal with things they don't like.

if they dont like to search for things they should find another hobby i like everyone here the subjects are just dead

I don't know your age CT but I believe that alot of the detectorists on here or just joining in are older and may be very seasoned detectorists spanning decades. Heck, I had my first detector Fisher 1210-X when I was eight and I am 36 now and going stronger than ever. But my point is that I grew up in an age where Googling information is second nature to me. Someone that held their first detector in the 19 sixties or seventies is going to have a bit more difficulty finding answers here or anyplace else on the web and are looking for us to be kind enough to welcome them in and help them out. Of course there are going to be mooches out there that expect everything handed to them on a silver platter that we dug up, hahaha. I personally think we should answer their question but also gently point them in the right direction of where to find things on their own in the future.

Sorry you're not finding any dimes CT, maybe in a few years you will be able to.. Keep at it you'll get the hang of it sooner or later..

Some people just like to say "Look at me I'm leaving now......somebody please beg me to stay". Don't think that will happen......but your still here.

Dave

Hey buddy be a grown up and move along. It's OK to go away. But be a normal person about it. Good Luck

You've been on this forum for less than 3 months and made 73 posts. Since you said you were getting tired of posts like "oh, look at the dime I found"....out of curiosity, I wondered what types of posts you, yourself, had been making. In the short three months you've been here, you only made two posts that were in an effort to help someone better understand their CTX 3030. The rest of them are exactly like those posts you are now complaining about. You've shown us buttons, complained about the charger, showed us a nugget you found, posted about a penny you found, talked about the weather, told us about your silver spill, showed us a brass pill box you found, congratulated fellow members on their finds, posted about a silver buckle you found, posted about an old military button you'd found (that other members helped identify), and recently, talked about how your hand is getting numb. So based on the content of your own posts, I really don't understand the reason for this most recent one.

When this forum started, I was one of only two people (outside of Minelab) familiar with the CTX 3030. Everyone else who came to this forum that first month had never seen one. But they had an interest, and they had questions. I spent hundreds and hundreds of hours answering their questions, writing posts and explaining functionality in an effort to help folks become more educated about the CTX 3030. After the CTX 3030 hit the streets, this forum grew by leaps and bounds, as did the number of questions. But as folks became more familiar with their CTX, many of them began answering these questions and providing some excellent analysis. That gave me time to set up the Resource Center and play a role in getting Minelab to authorize the CTX videos. (which is being headed up by GateKeeper) The bottom line is...... this forum is only going to be as good as those who contribute. The knowledge and skills that are demonstrated by many of the members of this forum are second to none. And their willingness to give of their time and energy is what makes this forum the best source for CTX 3030 information, anywhere. Whether it is posting pictures of their recent finds, giving advice on how to differentiate various targets, or answering the questions of another member......each of us are responsible for making this forum what it is.
If you've failed to understand that concept, you've not been paying attention.
If you need help finding the door, let me know.
