Don Knotts...

Randy Cosner

New member
How many of us have grown up with Don Knotts. His recent death is a great loss to me.

I grew up watching Don Knotts and Andy Griffith. The Andy Griffith show was a good clean TV show that not only provided humor in my life, but also taught me life lessons.

Thinking back in my life I know that what influenced me into Law Enforcement was my father (Police Officer for 22 years) and Andy and Barney. I have learned in my eleven years in Law Enforcement that there are times that you need to be tuff on people because they just don't get that crime does not pay.

There are times that I use what I call the "Andy of Mayberry" justice. That is when a guiding hand and a push to the right side of the law is all that someone needs. I have to admit that the Andy of Mayberry approach has been getting fewer and far between.

I know that Satan has a big hold on a lot of the criminal people that I deal with daily. I just pray that with the Lord comming soon that I will be able to use the Andy of Mayberry justice on more people.

I feel it fitting that I use a picture of Barney as my Avitar. I ask that you all pray that more people come to the Andy of Mayberry justice as times get worse.

I prayed Randy as you mentioned. I'm in the same age area (55) and grew up with Andy and Don Knotts too. Think my becoming a police officer goes back to always being the target of the bully in school though elementary and jr. high. The bully is long gone and no idea why he was such a jerk all those years. Only he and God knows. Times have changed and even with technology it seems it didn't change for the better in many ways.

The end times are a comin'. May Jesus find us vigilant and waiting with glasness in our hearts and not sleeping and without oil in our lamps like the story of the virgins going to the wedding.

Nice to hear from you Randy and may God keep you safe.

I was young but remember watching them. You keep doing what you do! We thank you!
