doing ground tests with your unit

i buried a beer can 24 inches down to do tests ,

my tesoro with SEF coil was poor on the test of my 4 machines .
it was very slow in giving a signal ,about 3 inches past the spot whereas my other machines were spot on target.
that means i would be digging in the wrong spot and then give up as nothing was seen .

i plan on burrying a small copper sheet and silver sheet at depth to see what responses i get .

what are your results ??

even though its a silver, i'm surprised your getting a beep thats quite hall for that machine are you using the 12 x 10 coil or bigger? now on the vaq or tejon that should'nt be no prob even the stock DD 12 x 10 i would think anyways, i know i've pulled horse shoes out of the ground from 16 to 17" with the stock that blasted my ears off

doing tests is very informative comparing my different machines on different targets you learn a lot ,everyone should do it .
there is a delay of the signal on my silver with the SEF coil ,it may be it needs a tweek inside for the new coil but i am not sure of this .
but surprisingly all my machines locate the beer can at 24 inches .but who would dig that deep any ways ?it could be a valuable hoard but maybe not !!
2 of my machines show it as a bad target even though they register it.
The XPDeus and the Delta show it as a bad target not worth digging ,whereas the Surf Duel and the Silver only register that there is something there and no further information
