Does this ring represent a Cult? Does anyone know what it is? ..............

It is large and heavy, may be silver, but not sure, and it will not stick to a magnet. Skull and Bones, rooster or chicken on both sides appears to be made of copper. It was found on a farm in South Texas that was once owned by a man with a German last name, was in his family from the mid 1930's until the mid 1980's. I suspect that this ring might represent a Cult, but not sure. Any help to I.D. this ring would be appreciated. Kelley (Texas)

The Rooster symbol was used in the German army during WWII ... Skull and bones theme was used by the SS... Not sure though...
