Does the Xterra 50 Id a coin while in pinpoint???

seems like it does. Its something I dont always pay attention to but I noticed while recovering a few targets, like a nickel was 12 in pinpoint, a quarter 42, but not always perfect on the ID in pinpoint.Misplaced my manual.

I think it stores the last sweep on the screen, before you go into pinpoint. I've had erroneous hits stored on the screen as I pinpoint for a penny, for example....a 3 or a 9.

Yes it will. Keep in mind that if you pass over another target, it will also display that number so the tid can change in pinpoint for as many different targets as it passes over.

...the ID on the last sweep is shown on the screen when entering pinpoint. X'ing or moving the coil during pinpoint will not change the number. It's something I miss which I have on my other detector, but the pinpoint icons really makes up for that.

Treasure Nut. The X-30 and X-50 will update the depth indicator, but do not TID in Pinpoint mode. The TID remains as the last target identified. The X-70 updates both the TID and depth in Pinpoint Mode. HH Randy
