Does the "V" detect deep targets?

This small cuff button (14 mm) had a nice, consistent tone in the 40's. When I turned over the dirt pile, it was right there at the bottom of the plug. I lined up my Propointer, which is 9 inches, to demonstrate how deep this target was. Not bad, 9.5 inches for a button the size of a half dime!

The last good coin I dug was a standing liberty quarter at 8 inches straight up on edge. This target sounded like it was on the surface it gave such a strong signal.

HH,

Shane

That is impressive. I don't have a problem with depth either, the V goes as deep as I want to dig.

nice! i have the vx3 and find myself digging clear coin signals at 7in with the 6x10 coil. only had it about a week and while going over a small yard ive hit a thousand times got a 1939 merc at 7in and a small nail was 1 in away from it! im really liking this machine! on the silver dime i got a great signal one way then a broken signal the other way.im sure that was the nail.

Yes that's deep.i would like to say thanks neil. Had my v3i for six weeks getting great results. I apply a lot of how i use it from your techniques that you post keep them coming.

Great Depth that's for sure. Which coil were you using Neil?

This was found using the SEF 12"x10" "Butterfly" coil with the frequency set at Best Data.
