Hi Bigdawg, I kept thinking you would get a reply from someone more informed than I about your Sidewinder, but thought I may as well kick in at least a little bit. I have a couple of Sidewinder MicroMax/UMax that I bought for Grand kids and they rarely used. I use them now for loaners. In answer to your question I would have to say that ANY Sidewinder is one of the older ones and highly sought after. I have read many times how folks were sorry to have given up their Sidewinders, and wish they still had them. You will love it I am sure and with the mods you have on it it should surely help when you choose to swap coils.Only problem with it may be having to use an adapter from1/8" to 1/4'" phone jack, as they always loosen up with use. Just keep an extra one on hand.when you hunt. That would have been the first Mod I would have thought to be made on it but no big deal really.Seems too I read somewhere there was a reason it isn't done. I think there were really only a few of them made before they were upgraded to the 1/4".From what I understand there is no difference in the 'inards" of any of the Sidewinders,My two newer versions have different shaft connections , one a plastic lock nut and the other the older style brass screw sleeve. HH, Charlie
