Does the 8 inch coinsearch coil....

have a cover or is it supposed to to run coverless ?
and where can I purchase one if I do need one ?

I think the Coinsearch would be better served if it had the cover on it, keep it clean inside tho. Any Minelab dealer should have em...HH...geo
 
The 8 inch coinsearch has a cover on them and it fit very tight and really don't need to come off to clean it, but when you do it will probably break. Now the coinsearch were used on the first Sovereigns and the XS and were changed on the XS2 to a waterproof coil as the Coinsearch were not. This mean the coinsearch was only used from 1991 though 1997 so unless you find a dealer that has some old stock you may find it hard to get a coil cover as they are not being made anymore.
