does T2 give a high tone on all coins?

I was wonder if nickels give a high coin tone or does it give a low one? I'm looking at buying a new machine (light weight). I mostly coin and jewelry hunt. does the gold rings that come in with the nickel range also give a high tone? I hunt some very trashy areas and was just wondering how you can get though trashy areas without a notch. also have to have a machine that pinpoints good because some areas I hunt you cant use a shovel, ( there's a couple of older areas that I can use a shovel and that's where I could use some depth)i have to probe and pop them out. was looking at the F75 but see quite a few talking about digging bottle caps as coins. The T2, F75, Gamma, omega, F4 and F5 are what I have narrowed it down to right now.
Thanks for any help
Norm
