Does Sefari have multi notching discrimination? Hit hard on gold and silver?

I'm considering buying me a Minelab Safari soon and I'd like to know if it has multi notching discrimination like the Garrett brand of metal detectors. For example: Can I notch out everything past Zinc penny and concentrate on the gold jewelry range. Can I do that on a Safari?

Does the Safari hit just as hard on the gold jewelry range of targets as it hits hard on the silver range of targets?

Thank you for any information that you may provide,
Jordan

Yes to first question and no to second question

On the issue of gold yes it will hit on gold but from what I have read it is not as sensitive as some machines to very small gold but on a beach looking for Rings she will go very deep and ignore the salt.

Hope that helps

Thanks that helps me alot!

I'm looking for a metal detector that will allow me to search for 2 types of targets in the gold range and 2 types of targets in the silver range without me having to dig my most annoying targets while hunting city parks. I don't want to have to switch search coils to target 1 range or the other and I'd like a detector equally sensitive to both ranges and has multi notching discrimination. If anybody knows a metal detector please let me know. I pretty much don't care about the brand as long as it's not "Made in China" ;)

I have a Quattro and other than being slower to clear numbers is otherwise the same as a safari. The notching works well and the detector hits hard on gold rings that u are likely to find in a park. Blocking out the most troublesome of tabs in your area will leave much area left to allow most gold through. U cannot go wrong with a minelab.
