Does Eureka Gold Offer any Advantage

I have an oportunity to go prospecting on some private land in Va. and NC. Both of these sites have abandoned mines from the early 1800"s and gold has been found along the creek bank and of course in the mines. My question is: would the Eureka gold offer any advantage over my explorer II. I cannot justify a SD series detector, no more than I would use it, but could add the Eureka if there is any advantage. Or maybe there is another detector in the 1000.00 dollar range that would be better. Don't want to spend the money unless I am going to get some advantage. Any help would be appreciated. John

stay with the eureka gold it will get the gold if you get over it ...the exp2 will not do unless you have gold as big as hens eggs...

Thanks for the advice. I did some checking on the web for a used sd 2100 or 2200 and they seem to be as rare as a 10 pound nugget. Looks like my explorer is not going to do the job as the nuggets I have seen from the area I am going to hunt are very small. May have to go with the Eureka, but I going to keep looking for a used detector. Thanks again. John
