Does discing out iron with the racer affect it's recovery speed?

Don't think it affects recovery speed but gives the appearance of.

When you start raising your ID filter/disc, what you will notice is the nonferrous tone will get shorter many times on nonferrous mixed with ferrous.

Here's a video that demonstrates what can happen when to start raising ID filter on Racer. Granted this video depicts a Nokta Core unit. Rest assured they are so close in overall ops and performance it aint funny. Realize disc settting on Nokta Core is called ID mask, on the Racer it's called ID filter.

Enjoy

Thanks Squirrel for your response. I watch Keith's videos quite often but I somehow missed that one. I know from experience that increasing the disc level will cause good targets to clip when hunting in heavy iron. It's that way with the units I currently use and ones I've used in the past. I was just wondering if the Racer was any better under those conditions.
Thanks again,
Bill
