Does coil size make any difference with the Sov? Strange results..

..Was testing some coils on my Sov. GT (S8, Tornado 10", WOT, and 16.5" Excellerator EQ2) with my 5 grain test nugget and got some seemingly anomalous results. One would expect that a smaller coil would be more sensitive to smaller objects; well, such didn't seem to be the case (at least with a low conductor). The WOT and Excellerator exhibited about the same sensitivity to the nugget as the other coils. In fact, I'm almost tempted to say that they gave a better response. I know.. pretty strange. This little test session took place on some highly mineralized concrete/ground with the target laying flat. Maybe I'll take a pic. of the 'nugget' a bit later so you can see just how small it is. ..Willy.

Willy that is my findings also. Ive read some say the larger coils loose sensitivty but Ive never seen it, at least on the minelabs I use(sov and explorer).
anyway now you know for yourself what is true and what isnt regarding the sensitivity issue.
The one coil for the sov I found that has the least sensitivity is the coinsearch coil, but not by much. I tried them in wet sand at the ocean on thin gold rings.

I found the same with a .2 grammer on my SE, testing a WOT and joey.
