Found a watch this weekend, I think this is watch number 6 or 7 after hunting for TWO YEARS for a decent watch!!!:ranting:

It says on the back
Cartier
Paris
925
Argent
plaque or G 20M
Swiss
6038818

What is it??

The band is all corroded, the face is too except for the one ring of "gold" around the face.

Is it a fake or what???

Hi, My wife has that exact watch and she says that what you have found is a fake one. The gold ring around the face is supposed to be solid gold and would not have corroded like that. The hands are blue and so is the crown. Get it checked by a jeweler to be sure, but I think you got a $20 knock-off........sorry

I just re-read your post and realized that my answer was ambiguous. I meant the wider gold band around the face not the thin one around the face. Did you get a chance to have a jeweler look at it?

The markings are impressive!! The watch is too!! Good luck!!! If not this one, then the next one perhaps??
