Does audio 1 give more depth?

Does auto 1 seem to me to give more depth is this because you hear more of the signal before it is processed again?

I think the ones who use it like it because of the long signal. I didnt find it to give more depth... but you might pick up a signal otherwise missed in trash much like using 10 gain in those trashy areas. There are a lot of interesting tones on the explorer that the Euro guys use.... i think they have tried it all. I just couldnt get used to that long signal and the weird different tone.

I have been using it lately with good result but it can ware you down,so i try to discriminate more when iam using it.Does kind of make stuff jump out in the trash if you get use to certain tone you seem to recognize it when your going over a lot of stuff.

Looks like its a bit deeper, but cant be the same, but its best in iron with open screen where you dig all good targets, plus you can dig more iron --relick iron. I use it allot but only in the special places and usually never start with it in new places. Audio 1 is harder for brains and ears compare with Normal.

Stasys... ive found a 10 gain does about as well if you are in trash. The gain doesnt give you more depth per sa it lets the weaker signals come in at the same audio level. The tones are there they just break thru giving the appearance you are hitting deeper targets. Thats kind of my take on Audio 1 and depth. But some really like it... it took a little to much attention for me where the gain increase still gave me good but faster tones that my ears and brain could understand.

Dew I always use Gain 10, dont like detect with lower, simply no time to think its deeper or shalower.

I use audio 1 exclusively and have done so since early on using the Explorer.
It allows me to hear those broken signals that sometimes turn out to be a non-ferrous item either
hiding in trash or deep with a brief response.
It also alows for more better sweep speed tolerance in that one can use a very slow to a very fast sweep speed.
On the negative side, it does give an earful to those not familar with it and since it gives those broken
tones, it creates the need to discern broken false signals as well.
The key to using it is to turn down the volume on headphones so the loud and extended signals don't
tear you ears up.
I also use a high gain setting of 9 along with audio 1.
I would be the first to say however that audio 1 isn't for everyone.
