have links to charts with readings or graphs or any hot links for the se...got out today for the first time with the se...was interesting glad I have been running a hot eeprom hi pro program with the dfx....made me kind of ready for the tones from the se...but the vco pinpointing response sounded like the detector was being tortured!

Gregg, check this search out, there should be something down the list that will be helpful.

Greg,
Have you download the SE simulator yet? You also have to download US coins and US gold coins files. http://minelabowners.com/forum/index.php
I have Explorer coin chart and other Explorer files that I have built up over the years. Send me your e-mail address.

Here is some more web sites.

Hi Greg,

"vco pinpointing response sounded like the detector was being tortured!".....good one. Your right, it sort of does.

Don't have any more charts with readings graphs or hot links other than the ones offered already about the se , but I think you may find this little bit of info explained by Cody, useful for the Explorer SE and can be used for the XS and EX2.

It may not seem much, but it tends to put the Explorer in another league of use with reduction in the amount of tones it puts out. Great for when you first start using it or simply because you may wish to reduce the amount of tones it puts out on a day to day use for certain site .
I have shelved my DFX ,only because I find the Explorer a little more versatile to use with more flexible, smoother and consistent abilities. I still like the DFX and I am sure will eventually get around to using it more seriously but not for now.

Hope this has helped.

Greg, are you pinpointing with the front tip of the coil? That seems to be a bit easier. You might take a look at charles NY's page too. Its www.treasuregizmo.com
