Does anyone use the Whites Prizm V ?

Had one and sold it.
Looking back at picture I noticed it did pretty good in my area.
Was just wondering if anyone still used the Prizm series?

Bruce, I use the Prizm V. It's my first detector. It took a little while for me to depend on the tones and not the display screen. Deep cans and screw caps
deal me fits. Are you using a Prizm?

I started out with a prizm V and was very satisfied. I got a chance to trade mine for an M6 an I'm not sorry, My wife wouldn't take anything for her Prizm 5. She likes the light weight and the tones. She will find just as much as I do with my M6, I just have a wider selection of coils. Both are great machines.

Had a Prizm IV and basically liked it other than the lack of coils. Traded it for a Deleon as I have a pretty complete selection of Tesoro umax coils and I prefer a completely adjustable discrimination (knob) versus the notch type on the Prizm.

Started with a Prizm V and then got a good deal (I think) on an E series XLT. Every so often I tuck the V into my trunk for the spontaneous opportunistic hunts. Continue to make decent finds with it! No regrets about purchasing and like the wt (or lack of) factor. Great machines, though I now keep an 8" coil on my Prizm V....

I use the Prizm 4 for hunting old goldfield camp/hut sites in Oz and love it. Simple, efficient, light and does the job. Great Iron discrimination.

I have never used a Prizm, so don't know much about them, but using another detector, I find that when you pinpoint a deep can, it will hang onto the pinpoint signal a lot more than a coin, when you pull the coil back towards yourself. Are you able to try it with the Prizm to see it it make a difference?
Mick Evans.
