I tried RESPONCE AUDIO <FONT COLOR="#ff0000">3</FONT>
on the wet and dry sand of a salt water beach just recently.
I put my volume down to 7 and/or 8 and GAIN <FONT COLOR="#ff0000">10</FONT>.
SENSITIVITY <FONT COLOR="#ff0000">MANUAL 32</FONT>
RECOVER <FONT COLOR="#ff0000">DEEP</FONT>.
SOUNDS CONDUCT and tried FERROUS(with the volume down it's actually quite bearable.
IRONMASK <FONT COLOR="#ff0000">SCREEN -16</FONT>
<span style="background-color:#ffff00;">AND</span> using the 15" INCH WOT
Works really great. "NO ESCAPEES" <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt="

I found AUDIO 3 works at it's best on the beach. Inland I use the AUDIO 1 or 2.

INLAND I will use IRONMASK -16 and I prefer to use RESPONSE AUDIO 1 or 2 because I need a high target seperation onn some junky trash sites. This also depends on soil types and conditions. Sandy soils like we have around here in some inland sites I can use whatever the site will take. Most of the clay RED soil around here(contains a lot of iron)then I will be required to tone down sens and adjust ALL other settings to suit. Don't be affraid to experiement.

It seems to help the threshold smooth out a bit and offers a little better target resolution in the trash or when targets are close together. HH George

i hunt -16 at trashy sights, im going to experiment with it tomorrow and see how it works, thanks...guyt.
