Does anyone use an EYE FI card?

Thats the card that will allow you do download the pictures via a WI FI connection.....at this stage of the game they are still a pricey card.

From what little I know, it sounds like you gotta have a great WI FI connection to be able to use such a card

if you have one, please share your experience with them...

i would think one would need an internet access or perhaps use Free WI FI service available..McDonalds, Starbuck etc I actually know someone who has "wireless" internet access from anywhere......not a smart phone either.
and i believe youre right..... could the wi fi be in the card? i dont know

eye-fi cards are fantastic! all you need to do is put the card in the camera and download the app on whatever device you're going to use and you're ready to go.The card IS the wi-fi transmitter. I use mine in conjunction with an Apple iPad while doing aviation photography. I set it up to directly feed the photos as you take them, from the camera to the ipad wirelessly for checking out the photos on larger screen within seconds. There is a lot you can do.....transfer photos to ipad / latop or desktop computer with wi-fi or to most any smartphone. The eye-fi is an awesome device.
