Does anyone tithe on their finds?

I keep the wheats & silver , give the rest to the Gospel Rescue Mission. Been doing this for 20+ years now. I figure I got my reward out of it by finding it :) Steve in so az

I put 10% in the plate when passed as cash. That way no one knows where it came from. I put in my regular envelope too!

never thought much about it! I do give kids rings, clad and such!
Now ya got me thinkin! HMMMMMM!!!!

When I bought my first metal detector at a garage sale, I bought it without talking to the LORD about it. After I got to thinking about what I had done I told the LORD that I would match what I found and put that in the collection plate until I had given the price of the detector. Some days I don't find much to give the LORD. Some days I do.

I have about 80 bucks saved up that I have found, and had been planning all these things to do with the money, but I suddenly became convicted that I give it to our church in some manner. I guess, like Mike, I never thought much about it. Again, thanks for your input!!!

a tithe is taking a percentage of your income and giving it back to God, because of His provision and goodness to us. It is a more structured sense of offering. It is probably called different things in different churches. At our church, we collect "Tithes and Offerings".
