Does anyone still use the White's Eagle II SL as their main detector?

I'm sure some do even though they were sold in 1990. One of the best detectors Whites ever made. A true do it all, and, do it all well machine.

In the hands of an experienced user they will hang with most all of the new detectors. I am trading for one, which will be the 3rd. one I've owned. I had alot of good luck with them before and I'm sure it will be the same now.

...from what I know Mike, there are a few die-hards still swinging the Black Bird.
Some swear by them, still. I sent some of the custom programs that used to float around the 'Net with the literature. Just look in the binder.
I never had much luck with them, though.
I just ran it in 'bh', upped the VDI gain and tweaked the signal balance.

I'll have the Eagle II SL 90.5 tomorrow and I can't wait. I'm trying to get back to all Whites. Next up will be trading a mint Coin$trike with 8 & 5 inch coils for a mint Eagle Spectrum with 2 coils. For some reason I really enjoy using the older White's detectors. I know what they are capable of in an experienced users hands. You can keep up with anything out there today if you just know how to set them up. Hopefully I'll be back using all White's before long.
