I dug this at an old Catholic church today. It has letters on the candle that I would like to know what they stand for or the meaning. It is sterling silver. If you have any idea please let me know. Thanks, Dennis in Idaho

makes me wonder if it isn't symbolic for something else.Whats on the other side?

A candle is given at baptism, but there's an older child depicted on it. I'd go more for the first comunion.

Nothing on the back. Dennis in Idaho

Alpha + Omega (first and the last) from top to bottom with a twist on the + with the cross. Just a guess, but it seems the Catholic church is the biggie on candles.

Nice find.

found one just like it a couple years back, its not silver, seems a copper mix of some type...no idea as to what it means tough .....

Thanks for the info, they are the same with the exception that I had a local jeweler check mine and it is silver, although it is not marked as such. It is really tarnished. If you can recall where did you find yours, state, city, etc. I found mine in Caldwell, Idaho. HH Dennis in Idaho
