hey everyone,
i was out metal detcting on a nearby beach and i found this around 10" deep in the sand.i have a sovereign XS-2, and it came up on dicriminate mode.
there seems to be no metal on it that i can see, but there are little gold spects on the back.
does any one have any idea?
thanks

Sorry, I'd like to know as well. Obviously it's a stone with mineralization, but beyond that it may take a geologist to tell youl

don't know the actual name but it looks like the type of rock some retaining walls r made of that i have seen and they had some gold fleck through it,, and i would say that groove is where a post may have been drilled into the rock ...maybe from a mariner wall
