hello all, i found this small brass rough cast piece at an old homesite [1850's]. top pic shows a screw or rivet hole. the 2nd pic shows the side view. it's almost 2" long and about 3/4" wide, and heavy for it's size. any help would be appreciated! it's a little bent too. hh,

looks like a stove door hinge support .just a guess though

The bottom picture is a horseshoe nail. Looks like either a "frost" head or "E" head nail.
