Wilson Metal detectors are still making detectors.........what their current model is ..................and their phone number and address? Thanks for your replies.

I have tried to contact mr. Wilson several times in the past year by email with no luck. I suspect his metal detecting making days are through. I wanted one of his coin select models.

....Not sure either.....but he is either dead or he is in a nursing home!!.....I think that his family probably a daughter tried to sell some of the "Coin Select" on ebay....do not think that they sold very many??!!.....me and several other people have tried to email and call him ....but no response.......Joe

He responded (or someone collecting his emails) to me by email back in 2009. I hand a question about using other coils on the Wilson RCII and he said he did not know if any other makers coils would work. You would think Mr. Wilson would know the answer to a question like that so maybe it was his daughter responding.

You could try the old Compass coils used on the Goldstar series. 6.875 khz if I am not mistaken. Not sure if the connectors are the same.

.......Years ago Wilson offered a larger coil as an accessory.....it was either a 9 or 12 inch coil.....I guess that this coil did not sell very well so production of these coils was stopped!!....I believe that this was back in the late 80's and early 90's.....I have Never seen one for sale anywhere especially on the internet....so I would assume that these coils are very RARE......Joe
