I found it on the Internet a few days ago when I was doing some research on a small town east of San Antonio, Texas. This small town had their own Alligator Man back in the 1930's. It seems that a man by the name of Mr. Ball had some pet alligators in a pit behind the ice house that he owned and folks noticed that his bar maids did not stick around very long. It appears that the reason that they would disappear after working at his ice house for several weeks was because he was killing them. He would kill them, cut them up into small pieces and feed them to his alligators in the pit behind his ice house.

I am getting conflicting stories about whether or not the old ice house is still standing...some say yes, some say it was destroyed years ago. One man that I want to talk with owned the land up until two years ago when the IRS seized it for back taxes. Sometime in the next two or three weeks, I plan on taking a ride out to that small town and take a few pictures...may write a story about it if there is enough interest. Please have a great day! Kelley (Texas) :)

PS: This picture has nothing to do with the story about the small town east of San Antonio.
