Still a nice find though.. I find them from time to time and remember... WWI and WWII were important times in our history, so you are still saving history.
They have more meaning if you had relatives in the war.
 
Thanks for the info. About three feet from the button i found a very worn wheat penny and a pistol ball in the same hole. Penny is so worn i cant see a date on it.
 
It looks similar to one I found last week, mine is about as big as a half dollar. What I have been able to find out is that it is most likley WW1.
