Does anyone have or know where to find a photo of a 1829 capped bust dime with the curled 2 variation???

All I can say is THAT WOULD BE AMAZING!!!! You would have the find of a lifetime there Beachunter!!!!

There are alot of professional coin experts out there, and I'm sure you're thinking along the same lines as what my comments are, but...

1. I would take it to no less than 3 experts for their opinions - start with at least one local (probably two)

2. I wouldn't let it out of my sight

3. If one of the local experts thinks it's have what you think you have, I'd consider traveling to wherever the best expert is in person and see what they think.

My buddy just found such a coin here in Indiana. It seem the stage coach ran across his field heading for old Fort Harrison on the banks of the Wabash river It is in really good condition and he said his reseach tells him George Washinton sold the silver from his silver mine to the mint for the curl dime.
He said he found a site the indicated it was worth $20,000.00
I did not believe him until I found a site that said $25,000.00
Even if it is worth half that it is an amazing find,
I will try to post apicture of his coin

YOU GETTING OUT THIS WEEK? I PLAN TO HIT THUR'S LOW TIDE..NOT SURE WHERE THOUGH. SOUTH OF HAMPTON SOME WHERE..I GOT A NEW LITTLE SPOT THAT COULD BE GOOD MAY TRY THERE,I WANT TO GET SOME MORE SANDED IN PHOTOS TOO. HOPE WE GET A OCEAN STORM SOON!!
 
Look in the Official Red Book 2006.Page 143 will show 1829,curl base2 It list for 4,000 in g-4 6,000 in vg 8 10,000 in f-12 and 20,000 in v f-20 BE GREAT TO HAVE THE $$$$$$$$$$$$ one AL.
