Does anyone have Gold Nuggets to test the Gold Bug?

Whites makes a test card that you can buy from a Whites dealer. The price keeps going up and they are now $15.00. Some folks like to use shotgun pellets say number 6 or 7. Any skeet or trap range could help you there. Make sure you get the lead ones and not some of the newer steel or other metal. John

You can use lead.. I get about 3 to 5 inches on a .4 gram nugget in 85 hot ground in am mode. It won't get small peices or flakes thats the gold bug 2's job.

well i was using a gold nugget not lead... YOU can use lead as a supplement for gold to get an idea of how deep or to play around with... :yo:

I have a gold flake I bought at a rock store. The GB SE has a very hard time picking it up. My compadre does a better job but the compadre probably would not do as a gold machine because I don't know how it would do in highl mineralized black sand......Jack
