Does Anyone Have An Honest In-Ground Depth Chart Online?

I'm looking for an in-ground depth chart that compares all the major brands or at least includes Tesoro.

I've found some old charts but are there any up-to-date charts out there?

I'll settle for air tests if that's all there is.

But heck, it sure seems like somebody has thought of doing this and keeping it timely.

because if he was to do a chart it would be an honest one. But i think that it would be an impossible thing to do one as what i find at 9 inch's in my ground in the UK a guy in the USA might only get 4 inch's in his ground and if Tesoro said that it went down ten inch's and people bought the detector because they said that and it only went down 5 inch's they would send the detector back and get there money back. I have some coins in the house from the USA i will find them in the morning and post some air tests for you.
If some of you guys that are looking at this post do the same thing and post the depth that you get on a couple of coins in the air we will have a look at the results. You have to remember that a detector that will pick a coin up at 18 inches is probably in all metal so if you was to use it in the ground at that setting you will be picking up every thing. (nails tinfoil the lot)there is a lot more to look at than just depth unless you dig every thing that is.
happy hunting Les

Soil mineralization varies widely of course so you would need benchmarks. An MXT might do to test mineralization with results given for light, medium, and high.Soil moisture would also have to be carefully watched. It might be about as good to just test a group of detectors at the same time in a test garden with an MXT reading each time this is done.

Here's one from a few years ago I got from an European dealer site when I had some of the models listed in the chart. I found the numbers in the chart to be very accurate but the soil here is very mild compared to many, if not most, places. The new models will probably airtest farther but the LST inground results in the chart should be about the same as the Vaquaro will do. The Tejon should have a little better numbers but judging from the few hours I hunted with or alongside them, two different ones, it won't be by much. You probably know already but to convert centimeters to inches divide by 2.54.

I got that chart several years ago, you can tell about how long by the models listed, and if the mode was specified I didn't notice, but since those models, with the exception of the LST, are used almost exclusively in disc mode I assumed that's what was used.
