Does anyone have a good memory on using the advanced options for an early eagle detector..

I would like to know about a few things, primarily as to when to use them, where to use them and how they could enhance my detecting at a certain locations....SO.. Im interested in knowing about the functions;

a) S. A.T delay 0= fastest 10= slowest

b) B. C Reject 0=light 1=normal 2=heavy

c) search speed 0=normal 1=fast

d) User AC sens

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.. Mark ( ohio )

Have you contacted Whites to purchase a manual . You really, really, need the Operator's Manual for this detector. There a multitude of adjustments , in four layers.
S.A.T. self adjusting threshold ...For use in all metal modes (disc off) that maintains stable operation over varied ground . Fast action ..0-3 large targets adjust out faster than small targets , producing a constant recovery time..................Slow action 4-10 produces a constant correction that adjust targets at the same rate.
If you stop over a large target it will take a while for the machine to recover.

Bottle cap reject...in range setting 0 all targets are treated equally.....in setting 1 rejected targets below v.d.i. 0 are given more reject weight than targets V.D.I. 0 and above.....in setting 2 more of the discriminate filter response is heard producing a broken up signal on bottle caps and iron while coins sound more smooth.
Deep coins will sound crappyer also.

search speed...in range 0 you don't hear the target after the filters reach there maximum response.... standard slow sweep
in range 1 you hear the target throughout the filter response. the reject, accept, weighting and audio hold timing are also altered. fast response, for trashy areas and hunts.

User A.C. sensitivity ...0 is off...Range 1 -95 selects the sensitivity of a new sensitivity level indicated under normal operation as 0 on the A.C.sens control.
This alternate sensitivity setting allows for sensitivity settings above, below and between the normal 1-7 available settings.
You really, really need a op manual for this machine .
Hope this helps a bit.

After running this machine for four-teen years( I never seen any reason to upgrade) the explorer had a " zero" learning curve.
Good luck
Matt

Click on the White's banner above. On the right side is a tab for manuals. Pick the one for your model and print or read.

Thanks Larry and Matt.. I did down-load part of the manual that had the advanced options discussed... reading is one thing..talking to someone who can explain where to and why to use these options is a different matter..

Thanks.. Mark ( ohio )
